Thank you for your interest in the Silent Retreat directed and preached by Fr. Nathan Cromly. This silent retreat comprises talks given by the retreat master, time for personal meditation, daily Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, and other spiritual devotions. Fr. Cromly will offer the Sacrament of Confession and be available for brief personal spiritual direction sessions. Here is some retreat information:

We begin on Friday, October 29, at 6:30 pm with the greeting and opening talk. The retreat ends Sunday about 1:00 pm.

The retreat will be held at Shalom Retreat Center, located in Dubuque, Iowa. Directions are available on our website.

The retreat fee of $150 is as low as we can possibly make it. This fee includes a $50 non-refundable deposit, participant room and board, facility rental and retreat expenses that include promotions, the preachers’ room, board and traveling costs. A collection will be taken to cover the preacher stipend.

Retreat participants will have individual rooms except for couples or friends who indicate that they want to share a room.

Participants should bring their Bible, rosary, devotional reading material and a notebook and pen, as well as toiletries.

The retreat house provides towels and bed linens.
